FPse is simply the best Playstation One emulator that is out there for Android, for more check out the details in our game section.
Note: This app requires use of Bluez-IME.
Setup is fairly easy nonetheless. Basically there are two ways of using PhoneJoy with FPse.
1) PhoneJoy Auto Configuration
The easiest way to use FPSe is by using the PhoneJoy auto-config provided by FPse. For this solution you do not need to launch/activate Bluez-IME, although you will need to have it installed and fully set-up.
All you need to do is to turn on your Bluetooth and PhoneJoy and then launch FPse. FPse should then notify you that it has connected to PhoneJoy and from then on your PhoneJoy is fully set up and usable including its Analog mode. No further button configuration is needed. Your button setup will be identical to that of a original Playstation controller, independent from what you have set up in Bluez-IME.
2) PhoneJoy Manual Configuration
You can also connect PhoneJoy manually. The advantage of such is that you can set your buttons as you wish. However, you will not be able to use PhoneJoy’s real analog mode, plus you will need to start Bluez-IME before launching FPse.
Please note that in some cases when you want to connect to FPSe manually (with Bluez-IME or PhoneJoy App or others) it still might try to override it and connect automatically via Bluez-IME. To prevent this, un-install Bluez-IME and reset the FPSe.
