About Us

Phone­Joy Solu­tions Lim­ited is a rel­at­ively young tech­no­logy com­pany based in Hong Kong. We spe­cial­ize in designung game con­trol­lers for smart­phones and tab­lets. Most of our oper­a­tions are con­duc­ted in Hong Kong, whereas some pro­cesses are done in part­ner­ship with local part­ners in South China and Hong Kong.

How it all started…

After not find­ing any decent game con­trol­ler for our Android tab­lets in early 2011 we decided to make our own. We first did so by using the plastic hous­ing of USB Play­sta­tion look-a-like con­trol­lers that we then filled with the PCB and Bluetooth mod­ule we designed. In short, the Phone­Joy was born. It cer­tainly was not the most innov­at­ive inven­tion, but it was a start for bring­ing some­thing to fel­low end-users that other com­pan­ies had failed to do so. Since then, we are happy to bring some­thing to fel­low end-users that other com­pan­ies had failed to do so. Plus, we keep on improv­ing and devel­op­ing our products and ser­vices con­tinu­ously to cre­ate the per­fect Phone­Joy exper­i­ence for you.

Our Agenda…

We are tired of cas­ual gam­ing on smart­phones. Mod­ern phones are cap­able of much greater than Angry Birds. Yet, unfor­tu­nately the gam­ing mar­ket still lacks vastly behind the pos­sib­il­it­ies of mod­ern tab­let and smart­phone hard­ware. How­ever, slowly but surely we are see­ing more and more ser­i­ous games emer­ging on the hori­zon. Our vis­ion is that smart­phone and tab­let gam­ing will even­tu­ally replace stan­dalone gam­ing devices such as the PS Vita and Nin­tendo 3DS. With touch con­trols, how­ever we do not believe this will possible.

As a hard­ware com­pany, we want to enable gamers to get the best gam­ing exper­i­ence pos­sible. Of course we real­ize that the cur­rent Phone­Joy gen­er­a­tion is not mobile enough and there­fore we are work­ing on a game con­trol­ler (“Phone­Joy Port­able”) that will come with great ergo­nom­ics and game­play at a much smal­ler size as well as a dock­ing func­tion for smart­phones of all sizes.   Mar­tin is one of the own­ers of Phone­Joy Solu­tions Lim­ited and the ini­tial founder of the com­pany. He was born in Ger­many, and  had been edu­cated in Eng­land, China and Hong Kong. Mar­tin is pas­sion­ate about new and emer­ging tech­no­logy gad­gets and has an amaz­ing tal­ent to think out­side the box. There­fore, besides hand­ling all busi­ness affairs and fin­ances, he is respons­ible for the future busi­ness devel­op­ment of the company.

  Alex is one of the main guys behind the tech­no­lo­gical devel­op­ment of Phone­Joy. He is cur­rently work­ing on the design of the future Phone­Joy port­able ver­sion. Alex is a pre­ci­sion mech­anic trained in Switzer­land and at heart a ded­ic­ated gamer who is try­ing to bring the best mobile solu­tion to other gamers like him. If you have any tech­nical prob­lems with your Phone­Joy he is most likely the per­son with the right solu­tion for you.
